My Letter To Congress,
As it concerns the current proposed financial bailout "crisis" I would request that you vote it down along with any suggested financial bailout that may come before you for the foreseeable future. Now is not the time to allow the Wall Street barons to try and hold the American people hostage with our hard earned dollars. The decision makers of these financial companies have long been out of control paying themselves ludicrous salaries for years with golden parachutes that make no business sense. And now in the matter of a few weeks they come to the American people via our Congressmen and women who they have long financially supported to bail them out. I SAY NO, LET THEM FAIL. I say let them fail even at the possibility of my own financial peril as a citizen of these United State of America.
Wall Street needs to know that they cannot make the decisions that they have for the past several years just to then have it all swept under the rug in a matter of weeks. If this decision means that we will go into a recession, then so be it. If it means we will go into a depression, then so be it. Our country’s citizens, and its representatives, need to know they we cannot live on credit and think that we will prosper in the long run.
If for some reason you do not follow my advice as my elected official then I would hope whatever half-baked plan you in Congress decided to signoff on that the American people have an equity stake in the bailout.
