I saw a great video over on AmericanPapist.com something everyone who is a fan of Fr. Benedict should take a few minutes to watch. Five years ago today my wife and I were married. It was a great day. It was one of those days I could live over and over. While at the time neither of us had a job we have come a long way. We honeymooned in Rome and then on the island of St. John with our friends. One of the greatest blessings our our life was that our marriage was blessed by none other than Pope John Paul II.
I’m still looking for the right WordPress Theme to use. Right now I’m using something called Regal. Its nice but I’m more of a Red guy. I’m also still in the process of categorizing and tagging all my old posts. That may take a while after a few years of writting. Boy that it doesn’t seem like I’ve been blogging for over 4 years. My birthday is next week and my wife gave me $100 coupon for Google AdWords. I have a few ideas on how to use it to evangelize on the Internet with that free money. Lastly before I head of to bed please pray for my son who is 8 months old and appears to have the flu. He puked once this morning and once tonight after dinner and is running a low grade fever. We gave him some Pedialyte with his bedtime bottle. Hopefully that and a few prayers will help the flu pass quickly. Besure to thank a veteran today. We would have no country without them.
I called into Dennis Moore’s Overland Park office last week to let him know my thoughts on the Healthcare Bill. I spoke with Cynthia and requested that he not vote for the bill before the house. I gave her my name and address and let Cynthia know that I’ve never voted for Congressman Moore in the past and didn’t plan to in the future. In addition I let her know that I’ve never been part of a political campaign or contributed to one, but if Congressman Moore voted for the House healthcare bill, (which he did) I will contribute and campaign for whoever his opponent is in the next election. I suggest we start an “Anyone but Dennis Moore” campaign right away with yard signs, an online petition, & a political action committee. In comparing the voting record of Moore & Pelosi they are in lock step with each other, with the exception for a war deployment bill back in 2007. Dennis Moore is no “Blug Dog” he is nothing but a Nancy Pelosi “Lap Dog” I’m tired of political spin, I’m tired of a supposed Kansan bowing to the far left agenda of Pelosi, Reid, and Obama. If Dennis Moore was a true “Blue Dog” he would have been speaking out against this healthcare bill a long time ago. Dennis Moore seems to be working for Nancy Pelosi and not the people of Kansas. My fear is Rep. Moore already knows his goose is cooked with his constituents, is ready to retire, and is now willing to go along with Pelosi no matter what it costs him politically. Rep. Moore is now a man of Washington and appears to have little use or care for the state of Kansas or the people he represents. I’m moving off Blogger & Joomla to WordPress. I just imported all my articles tonight. I will need to go back and ensure all the links and photos are working. Comments could not be salvaged. |
